The Process
Teamwork and cooperation are essential in order to accomplish your goal of returning to the 21st century from your present 18th century Native American culture. You will be assigned to a team that is composed of four members.
Step 1: Select a Role
NAVIGATOR: Your
job is to determine which part of the country each Native American culture is
located, naming specific states when possible.
BUILDER:
Your job is to determine which type of shelters each culture lived in and the
materials used in the building process.
HUNTER:
Your job is to determine what food each culture ate and how they obtained such
food.
SEAMSTRESS:
Your job is to determine what type of clothing was worn by each culture and what
materials were used to make the clothes.
Step 2: Print out a copy of the Native American Culture Chart, or use the chart given to you.
Step 3: Click on each of the Native American Culture web sites below to locate facts for your chart. Remember, each team member is responsible for locating specific information for the chart, according to the role they chose. Record your findings for each culture on your information grid, remembering that you will be responsible for transferring this information onto the Native American Culture Chart when your team is finished.

Step 5: Challenge! Work together with other team members to organize and record some interesting facts about each culture you explored, listing these facts on your Native American Culture Chart.
Step 6: Present your findings to the class orally, using the Native American Culture Chart as a reference.
Step 7: CONGRATULATE YOURSELF AND YOUR OTHER TEAM MEMBERS FOR FINDING YOUR WAY BACK TO THE 21ST CENTURY!
