Students in Absecon will be prepared for the new school year thanks to a generous donation of school supplies and books from the local American Legion Auxiliary for the 2022-23 school year.
“We are so thankful for the thoughtful donation from American Legion Auxiliary Unit 28,” said Absecon Schools Supervisor of Curriculum Jessica Schwartzer. “It's always a benefit to our students when the community can work together to help those in need."
The donation was delivered to the school on Thursday, Sept. 1 by American Legion Auxiliary Unit 28 Treasurer Mary Ann Philippi and Sergeant at Arms Dotty Hassall.
The supplies will be provided to students in need through the school’s guidance office.
