ABSECON — Absecon Schools Fourth and Fifth Grade Choir delighted the staff at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Mainland Campus, performing a selection of seasonal favorites during the hospital’s holiday celebration Friday, Dec. 5 to spread cheer amongst staff. The choir, directed by Marsh Music Teacher Mr. Matthew Whitcomb, sang Christmas classics like “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” and “Santa Claus is Coming to Town,” as well as more recent hits they have been preparing ahead of their Winter Concert set for 6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 10 in the Marsh Cafeteria, 800 Irelan Ave., Absecon.
The AtlantiCare holiday kick-off also included a visit from Santa Claus and Buddy the Elf, as well as lunch and treats for AtlantiCare staff members. This performance was an excellent learning experience for our students to perform for multiple audiences. Additionally, it signifies the continuance of the valuable partnership between Absecon Schools and AtlantiCare to support student and community well-being by promoting health, wellness, resources, and a positive school environment through programs and funding.
